Fender announced three John 5 Telecasters on October 6, 2026: the Phantom, Ghost and Custom Shop Phantom. Each carries DiMarzio D Activator humbuckers.

Phantom and Ghost

The production Phantom comes in black, with a matching headstock and Floyd Rose FRTS2000 Special Series tremolo. The Ghost combines Arctic White with chrome hardware, red accents and a nyatoh body. Both have a single volume control and killswitch.

Inside the Custom Shop Phantom

The Custom Shop guitar has a two-piece alder body with Ultra Contours, a Modern C maple neck and ebony fingerboard. Its 10–14-inch compound radius, 22 medium jumbo frets, Luminlay side dots and Floyd Rose Original tremolo distinguish this specification.
