Zoom has announced NEURIG, a battery-powered amp and effects processor scheduled for release in Japan in early November 2026. Its October 9 announcement lists a Zoom Store price of ¥47,800; it does not establish US pricing or a worldwide shipping date.

A neural rig with room for outside captures

The new DNA Engine combines 30 amp and stompbox models with native NAM A2 Lite support. Zoom says its modeling follows changes to an amp’s controls rather than reproducing only one captured setting.

Two touchscreens and four footswitches handle the hardware interface. The published specifications include 139 effects, up to 14 simultaneous effects and storage for 200 rigs. A rechargeable battery is rated for approximately 4.5 hours.

Check the roadmap before buying

SessionZ Pedal is billed as the companion for editing, AI-assisted tone creation and stem separation. Amp/pedal capture and the SessionZ Store are planned for December, while sound sharing is scheduled for next spring. Those promises should not be confused with features already delivered.

The operation manual also describes a 45-second looper, USB audio recording and send/return routing. For guitarists, the practical question is how those tools fit an existing pedalboard, recording setup or headphone routine. Sound quality and real-world performance will need hands-on assessment.
