Brian May Clarifies Queen Touring Comments: The Door Is Still Open
Brian May says he has not ruled out Queen touring again, clarifying that he took a personal break. No new tour dates have been announced.
Brian May has corrected reports suggesting that Queen’s touring future is definitively over. In an October 7 statement on his own website, the guitarist says he has not ruled out the band returning to the road.
A personal break, with the future undecided
May describes taking a personal break from touring in 2025. He also says he has continued making music and remains involved in Queen projects with Roger Taylor behind the scenes.
The distinction matters: leaving the possibility open does not confirm a tour. His statement supplies no dates, venues or new lineup, and it does not announce an album. Fans can welcome the clarification without turning it into a ticket alert.
Read May’s original statement for his own explanation. For now, the next chapter remains undecided.
