The Massachusetts band’s October 16 album marks its Wax Bodega debut, with “Far Country” and “Remain” offering the first entry points.

Caspian have set October 16, 2026 for their self-titled album, a six-song, 39-minute release that marks their debut for Wax Bodega. The Massachusetts post-rock band’s label describes it as their first album in six years; the official discography dates their previous album, On Circles, to January 2020.

Guitar arrangement and songcraft

For guitar listeners, the label’s description puts the emphasis on how parts develop. Wax Bodega points to a tremolo figure in “No One Left to Tell” and guitar lines that give way to heavier riffs in “A Great Fire.” It also describes repetition and patient development as central to the record’s approach. That makes arrangement a useful starting point for listeners approaching these songs.

Guitarist and synth player Philip Jamieson framed the album around simpler structures, accessible melody and emotional directness in the announcement distributed to music media. His comments place the new material in a conversation with the band’s own history, rather than presenting a wholesale change of direction. MetalNerd

Preview tracks and release-day availability

The official Bandcamp page currently offers two preview tracks: “Far Country,” listed at 6:03, and “Remain,” at 9:15. The album sequence begins with “Hiraeth” and ends with “Waltz for the End.” Bandcamp also lists CD, black 180-gram vinyl and Coke Bottle Clear vinyl editions.

There is one release-day qualification: when checked on October 16, Bandcamp and the label store still displayed pre-order wording. The announced date is clear, but complete-album playback was not independently confirmed. Check the official album page for the latest listening and ordering options.
