Enter Shikari share Higher Ground
The band announced the new track on October 7, with its future recording and touring pause still more than a year away.

Enter Shikari announced “Higher Ground” on October 7, posting the track on their official website with a link to listen. It adds a new piece of music to a week already dominated by questions about the band’s future.
In comments published by Kerrang!, Rou Reynolds explained that the song began during the Lose Your Self sessions but felt separate from that record. The band returned to finish it through the spring and summer. Reynolds describes its central idea as gaining perspective: stepping back far enough to see beyond the immediate pressure of a situation.
That makes the timing particularly interesting, although the song’s origin predates the announcement of the band’s planned pause. The October 1 statement says Enter Shikari will become dormant as a recording and performing entity from December 31, 2027. The band has left the possibility of a return open, without a timetable.
For now, the November Lose Your Self tour remains part of the announced plans. “Higher Ground” is the immediate new development: another track to spend time with before those shows.
