Greta Van Fleet have released Palace for the People, their fourth studio album, on October 9. The 13-track record was produced by Mike Elizondo, and the band’s official website now lists it as out now. The standard CD tracklist includes “Tear It Down,” “Play Your Games” and “Saw You Stand.”

The guitar detail behind “Tear It Down”

In an October 7 Guitar World interview, Jake Kiszka identified the guitar-and-amp pairing for “Tear It Down”: his 1961 Gibson Les Paul SG through a modern Fender Champ. He also described Elizondo’s studio as a place where different amplifiers and cabinets could be combined quickly, letting him explore sounds without repeatedly setting up equipment. That is a specific account of one track’s recording, rather than a complete rig list for the album.

Release dates and the next chapter

The October 9 release date does not apply to every edition worldwide. Universal Music Japan lists the Japanese SHM-CD for October 14, following a September date-change notice. The album arrives ahead of Greta Van Fleet’s previously announced 2027 tour. GuitarGangsters covered that tour and its fixed primary-ticket pricing on October 3; today’s development is the arrival of the record itself.
