Robert Plant and Saving Grace’s four-track EP Saving Grace: All That Glitters… reached digital platforms on October 9 through Nonesuch. The songs had already appeared on vinyl for Record Store Day; this release opens the EP to listeners who missed that edition.

The selection puts traditional material alongside songs by Gillian Welch and Bert Jansch. It also extends the repertoire of the ensemble heard on Plant’s 2025 album Saving Grace, with Suzi Dian again sharing the vocal spotlight.

What is on the EP?

  • “The Blackest Crow” — traditional
  • “Two Coats” — traditional
  • “Orphan Girl” — Gillian Welch
  • “Poison” — Bert Jansch

That mix gives guitar listeners two clear starting points: Jansch’s “Poison” and Welch’s “Orphan Girl.” The writers and traditional sources are central to the release’s identity, rather than a set of newly written Plant songs.

The players behind Saving Grace

The lineup brings together Plant and Dian with guitarist Tony Kelsey, banjo and string player Matt Worley, drummer Oli Jefferson and cellist Barney Morse-Brown. Their different roles explain the breadth of the group’s instrumental palette without reducing it to a conventional singer-and-electric-guitar partnership.

The publicist’s account of the band describes a shared interest in blues, folk, gospel and country, with the project beginning in 2019 around Plant’s home near the Welsh border. That collective background provides useful context for a record built around interpreting existing songs.

Watch “The Blackest Crow”

Nonesuch’s release-day announcement also presents a video for “The Blackest Crow,” made by Morse-Brown. The label’s page links to the clip and to the EP, making it the direct starting point for hearing the four tracks.
