Tab Benoit and Duane Betts Announce Southern Gentlemen Tour 2027
The two guitarists have announced a February co-headlining run. General sales for newly announced dates begin October 30; check individual venues.
Tab Benoit and Duane Betts are taking two distinct guitar traditions on the road together. Announced on October 27, The Southern Gentlemen Tour 2027 is a February co-headlining run through the southeastern United States.
February dates, from New Orleans to Mississippi
Benoit’s official schedule places the opening show at Tipitina’s in New Orleans on February 5 and the final listed date at The Ellis Theater in Philadelphia, Mississippi, on February 25. The itinerary also includes Iron City in Birmingham on February 10, the Georgia Theatre in Athens on February 18 and Minglewood Hall in Memphis on February 24.
There is also a February 13 stop at The Caverns. Its official ticket page describes an underground concert in Tennessee’s Grundy County, bringing Benoit and Duane Betts & Palmetto Motel to the same bill.
Two approaches to the guitar
Benoit’s own biography describes the freedom he found as a guitarist when he stripped his band down to a three-piece after joining Telarc in 2002. The pairing puts that stripped-back approach alongside Betts’ Southern-rock background.
Betts comes to the announcement following Isle of Hope, released through Sun Records this summer and produced by Dave Cobb. He is also a co-founder of The Allman Betts Band; these dates are a separate co-headlining tour with Benoit.
When tickets go on sale
The official announcement gives October 30 at 10 a.m. local time for general ticket sales for newly announced dates. Individual venue timing varies, so check the listing for the show you want to attend.
