Yngwie Malmsteen Shares “Beyond Zeta Reticuli” Ahead of November Album
Yngwie Malmsteen’s new instrumental video previews Hell Or High Water, with melody and counterpoint at the heart of his description.

Yngwie Malmsteen has released the official video for “Beyond Zeta Reticuli,” an instrumental preview of Hell Or High Water. The video arrived on October 1, with the album scheduled for November 13 through Music Theories Recordings / Artone Label Group.
Melody, counterpoint and a fascination with space
In the statement accompanying the release, Malmsteen connects the piece to his interest in extraterrestrial life. His explanation focuses on substantial themes, strong melodies and intricate counterpoint: a useful invitation to follow the composition as well as the lead guitar.
For guitar listeners, that gives the instrumental a specific question to answer. How do its themes develop, and which melodies stay with you after the playing has finished? Those are worth listening for alongside the technical fireworks associated with a Malmsteen release.
The next piece of Hell Or High Water
“Beyond Zeta Reticuli” follows “Now Or Never,” which the label introduced as the first single when it announced the album on August 5. The new video offers another route into the record ahead of its November arrival.
The official nine-song sequence places “Beyond Zeta Reticuli” sixth. “Now Or Never” opens the album, while “Father” closes it. Other titles include “Antikythera,” “(On The) Battlefield” and “Eye For An Eye.”
The label describes the album as continuing the focused writing approach Malmsteen adopted for Parabellum in 2021, keeping the creative process clear of outside distractions.
