The Belgian death metal band’s fourth full-length features a two-guitar lineup and sessions at Belgium’s Project Zero Studio.

Carnation have set October 16, 2026 for Symphony in Flesh, their fourth full-length album. The Belgian death metal band follows Cursed Mortality, released in 2023, with a nine-track record whose official credits put bassist Yarne Heylen at the centre of its production.

Recording and production

According to the band’s own Bandcamp listing, the album was recorded between February and June 2025 at Project Zero Studio in Laakdal, Belgium. Heylen mixed and mastered it, while Carnation are credited with writing and arranging the music and lyrics. The credits put a member of the band in charge of both those final production stages, linking the album’s performance and studio work.

Two guitarists and nine tracks

The official lineup lists Jonathan Verstrepen on lead guitar and Bert Vervoort on rhythm guitar, alongside Heylen, vocalist Simon Duson and drummer Vincent Verstrepen. Jonathan founded the band in 2013 as a tribute to the death metal of the 1980s and early 1990s. That two-guitar framework remains a useful point of reference for listeners following the band into this release.

The sequence starts with “Blackmouth” and ends with “Legacy of the Forefathers.” “Kingdom of Dreams” and “Labyrinth of Silence” also appear among the nine songs. Peter Sallai is credited with the cover artwork, and the official shop lists a black-vinyl first pressing.

Release-day availability

At the October 16 check, Bandcamp still described the album as a pre-order with five tracks available, and the vinyl listing also retained pre-order wording. The announced release date is verified; complete-album playback was not independently confirmed. The band’s album page is the place to check the latest listening options.
