Catalyst Crime have released “Polaris” featuring Lord of the Lost’s Chris Harms. The digital single listing is dated October 15 through Massacre Records, ahead of the band’s second album, Acquired Immunity.
Acquired Immunity is set for December 4
Massacre’s current release schedule gives the album a December 4 date and confirms Harms’ appearance on “Polaris.” Zoe Marie Federoff leads the band on vocals, with Chena and Kaelen Sarakinis forming its guitar pairing and Jonah Weingarten handling orchestration and keyboards.
The album was produced, mixed and mastered by Alexander Krull at Mastersound Studio. The label describes the group as cinematic symphonic metal and credits the cover art to Heilemania.
Acquired Immunity follows the band’s self-titled 2021 debut and is listed for CD digipak, limited double vinyl and digital release. “Polaris” brings one of its named guest appearances into focus before the full record arrives.
Hear the single, then make the call: what makes a guest vocalist earn their place in a symphonic-metal song, a contrasting voice or a different dramatic role?
