Deep Purple Put Splat! Back in the Spotlight With a New Video

The new Splat! video gives Deep Purple’s current chapter another spotlight. This is a fresh clip for the July album—not a new album announcement.

Deep Purple have released an official video for “Splat!”, giving the title track of their latest studio album a fresh spotlight. Released on October 22, the clip is available through earMUSIC’s official YouTube channel.

The distinction matters: this is a new video, not a surprise new album. Splat! was released on July 3, 2026 through earMUSIC, and the title track closes its 13-song running order.

The current Purple, not a retrospective

For guitar readers, this is another opportunity to follow Deep Purple’s present-day chapter with Simon McBride. The band announced his permanent arrival in September 2022 after a summer of touring together. Their official biography also notes his earlier work with Ian Gillan and Don Airey, so the musical connections predate his full-time appointment.

That context is more useful than treating every new Purple release as a comparison with a previous guitarist. The video belongs to the band’s current album campaign.

Where “Splat!” fits

The album reunited Deep Purple with producer Bob Ezrin. The band’s own description presents its central idea as transformation beyond physical existence, rather than straightforward apocalyptic destruction. Earlier singles included “Arrogant Boy”, “Diablo” and “Guilt Trippin’”.

For anyone who has yet to explore this chapter of the band, the title track offers a direct starting point: watch the official “Splat!” video on earMUSIC’s channel.
