Frozen Crown released The Legend of the Six Kings through Napalm Records on October 2, 2026. The Italian power metal band’s sixth album contains ten tracks, including a cover of Goo Goo Dolls’ “Iris.”

The official “Iris” video arrived on October 1, offering an entry point just ahead of the Napalm release. The album is now available digitally through the band’s Bandcamp page.

The musicians behind the recording

The album credits name Federico Mondelli on guitars, vocals and keyboards, with additional guitars credited to Alexandra Lioness. Giada “Jade” Etro handles lead and backing vocals, alongside Niso Tomasini on drums and keyboards and Francesco “Ikki” Zof on bass.

Mondelli also produced the record. Andrea Sala Danna is credited with recording at The Central Recording Studio, while Andrea Fusini handled mixing and mastering.

Fantasy storytelling meets “Iris”

Napalm describes The Legend of the Six Kings as taking a more narrative approach than its predecessors, with inspiration from The Lord of the Rings. The sequence runs from “Lightning in the Sky” to the closing title track.

“Iris” sits fifth in the running order, between “The One” and “Winter Hearts.” It brings an alternative-rock song into the record’s power-metal setting, giving listeners a familiar composition to approach from a different angle.
