Slash Drops “Flying Blind” and Sets a 2027 Album Date
Slash and The Conspirators release “Flying Blind,” with a new album due February 26, 2027. The announcement also points to a pedal-steel chapter.

Slash featuring Myles Kennedy and The Conspirators have opened their next chapter with “Flying Blind.” The single and official video arrived on October 2, ahead of a 12-track album of the same name due February 26, 2027 through Gibson Records.
For guitar players, the announcement has a detail worth circling: Slash is credited on pedal steel as well as guitar. There is more to this rollout than another date for the diary.
A live-band foundation, with vocals added later
Gibson’s announcement describes the album as recorded largely live at Studio Barbarosa in Florida with producer Michael “Elvis” Baskette. The artist’s account adds an important qualification: Kennedy recorded his vocals several months later. The musicians playing together formed the record’s foundation; “largely live” should not be read as a claim that every part was captured simultaneously.
The lineup remains Kennedy on vocals, Todd Kerns on bass and vocals, Brent Fitz on drums and Frank Sidoris on rhythm guitar alongside Slash. The band has also announced a Flying Blind world tour for 2027.
Where the pedal steel comes in
The official announcement identifies “Looking for a Miracle” as the song Slash first developed on pedal steel before adapting it for full-band rehearsals. He returned to the instrument for the recording. It also identifies “Living the Dream” as an instrumental, giving guitar listeners two specific tracks to keep on their radar beyond the title single.
What you can hear now
“Flying Blind” is the available single; the complete album is still ahead. The official video was filmed at the Viper Room in Los Angeles and directed by John Harvatine IV, according to Slash’s announcement.
Start with the single, then keep February 26 marked. The pedal-steel chapter is the detail we will be listening for when the full record lands.
