Turbulent Audio’s Big Business puts adjustable crossover points in a pedalboard EQ
A new EQ-and-boost pedal lets players adjust the crossover points between its three bands. Manufacturer specifications, price and limitations explained.
Turbulent Audio’s Big Business takes a different approach to pedalboard tone shaping: alongside familiar Low, Mid and High controls, it lets guitarists move the crossover points between those bands.
Delicious Audio describes an October 2026 release in coverage updated on October 21. Turbulent’s official product page listed it at $199 when checked on October 25.
Not just another row of fixed bands
The useful distinction is where one frequency range ends and another begins. Big Business provides separate Low Frequency and High Frequency controls, rather than asking players to work only with predetermined boundaries.
That makes it a different proposition from choosing which fixed slider to move on a graphic EQ. It is a design difference, not a claim that one approach automatically sounds better: the right tool depends on what needs changing in the signal.
A separate boost
Turbulent also specifies broadband gain and a clean boost with its own footswitch. The company states that the circuit has 18V of internal headroom; that is not an instruction to connect an 18V power supply.
For players comparing EQ pedals, the two questions are straightforward: do you want movable band boundaries, and would a separately switched boost replace another box on your board?
See Turbulent Audio’s product details for the manufacturer’s description. Current stock availability has not been independently confirmed.
