Sho-Bud puts pedal steel in the spotlight at the Ryman on October 27
Slash, Lloyd Green, Robert Randolph and Marcus King are billed for Sho-Bud’s Ryman showcase. Here is what the official event pages confirm.
Pedal steel takes the spotlight at the Ryman Auditorium on October 27, with Slash, Lloyd Green, Robert Randolph and Marcus King among the musicians billed for Sho-Bud Showcase LIVE. The Nashville event is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. local time, with doors at 6:30 p.m., according to the organizer.
This is a preview of tonight’s announced event, not a report from the stage. The attraction is the instrument itself: Sho-Bud is presenting steel-guitar performances across a bill that reaches beyond one corner of country music.
Steel guitar, not just a list of famous names
Sho-Bud’s official lineup places Slash, Green, Randolph and King in its steel-guitar performance section, alongside Jeff “Skunk” Baxter, Dan Dugmore, Sarah Jory, Rocco DeLuca and others. That is the useful distinction for guitar fans: the organizer is explicitly billing steel performances, rather than merely listing celebrity guests.
The separate special-performance section includes Brady Gandy with Marty Stuart and His Fabulous Superlatives, Ted Stern with Hatfield Rain, Nick Krol with the U.S. Navy Band, and Austin Duhaime with Cody Parks & the Dirty South. Don Felder, Connie Smith and Jon Carin are among the announced guests.
The published bill does not establish which songs, instrument models or onstage combinations will actually appear. We are not treating it as a confirmed setlist or evidence of any player’s show rig.
