Lita Ford’s new single “Dracula” is out today, October 27, through Frontiers Records. The guitarist and singer’s latest recording is now listed on Apple Music, while the label’s official listening page connects to the streaming services. It follows the announcement of her Frontiers signing last week.

For guitar listeners, the names behind the recording are worth noting. Gary Hoey produced the track and performs alongside Ford, with Bobby Rock on drums. Max Norman handled the mix. Apple’s track metadata also credits Ford and Hoey as composers.

The release brings something concrete to a campaign that, until now, centred on a record deal and an approaching date. “Dracula” runs 4:36 on the label’s listening page, giving fans a full new song to explore rather than another preview.

The announcement distributed last week describes a larger album project that Ford calls a “magical dark fairytale”. She also spoke about the long process of finding the right team to bring it to listeners.

What has been confirmed about the album?

The sources checked for this release name “Dracula” and its recording team, but do not give the forthcoming album a title, tracklist or release date. October 27 belongs to the single. The announcement also does not identify the guitars, amplifiers or effects used, or divide the guitar parts between Ford and Hoey.

Ford’s history as a guitarist reaches back to the Runaways, the band she shared with Joan Jett before their separate solo careers.
