Powderfinger have put dates and venues behind their reunion: 18 Australian shows across September and October 2027. The newly announced route takes the five-piece through six cities, from Brisbane on September 3 to Melbourne on October 30.

Bernard Fanning, Darren Middleton, Ian Haug, Jon Coghill and John “JC” Collins are returning for a tour staged under a travelling, stadium-sized big top. The announcement promises standing and seated options, with Australian support acts to be revealed in November. The dates were confirmed in Live Nation’s October 12 announcement.

Where the tour is going

  • Brisbane Showgrounds: September 3, 4, 10 and 11
  • Cairns, Cazalys Stadium: September 17 and 18
  • Perth, Wellington Square: September 24 and 25
  • Sydney, The Domain: October 1, 2, 8 and 9
  • Adelaide, Ellis Park: October 15 and 16
  • Melbourne Park Oval: October 22, 23, 29 and 30

Presales start October 14

Artist and Telstra presales begin on October 14, 2026, followed by Live Nation on October 16 and general sales on October 19. Sale times vary by city and use the venue’s local time zone. Fans seeking the artist presale must register by 11pm AEDT on October 13, according to Ticketmaster’s official guide.

Ticketmaster also confirms mobile-only tickets, an eight-ticket limit per show and a barcode delivery delay until seven days before each concert. Its guide is the place to check the exact city-specific sale time.

A return to touring

The new run follows the band’s 2010 farewell tour. Powderfinger also reunited for the One Night Lonely charity performance in 2020, so the 2027 announcement marks a touring return rather than their first musical reunion of any kind. The band’s official listening and viewing page links that performance alongside its studio catalogue.
