Epiphone has unveiled a redesigned Prophecy Series, bringing the Victory FR, Les Paul Baritone, Les Paul, SG and Flying V into one performance-focused lineup. Announced on October 28, 2026, the range combines familiar silhouettes with longer scales, stainless-steel frets and custom-voiced Fishman Fluence pickups.

One platform, five different jobs

The shared specification starts with thermally aged, graphite-reinforced maple necks and Epiphone’s Hyperglide profiles, with Hyperglide B specified for the baritone. Each guitar has a bound ebony fingerboard, a 10–14-inch compound radius and 24 stainless-steel frets. A Protector Ultralite case is included.

The important differences are not just cosmetic:

  • Victory FR: a 25.5-inch scale, Explorer-style headstock and Floyd Rose 1000 Series locking vibrato. Its R3 locking nut and six-in-line headstock distinguish it from the fixed-bridge models.
  • Les Paul Baritone: the longest scale here at 27 inches, supplied with .012–.060 strings for baritone tuning. It pairs a weight-relieved mahogany body with a maple top and comes in Obsidian Storm Satin.
  • Les Paul: a 25.5-inch scale, weight-relieved mahogany body, maple cap, rear belly carve and contoured heel. Finish choices include Forest Phantom Satin, Crimson Fog Satin and Obsidian Storm Satin.
  • SG: a 25.5-inch scale in the SG Modern body shape, offered in Crimson Fog Satin or Obsidian Storm Satin.
  • Flying V: a 25.5-inch scale, LockTone Modern bridge and through-body tailpiece, with Obsidian Storm Satin and Orchid Bloom Satin options.

Three pickup voices, not three separate guitars

The series-specific Fishman Fluence humbuckers offer modern active, vintage-inspired humbucker and single-coil-style voices. Epiphone’s DAPS mounting system keeps the pickups aligned while allowing height adjustment; these are manufacturer specifications, not a hands-on verdict on their sound.

For players comparing the range, the clearest starting point is the hardware: the Victory FR provides a locking vibrato, while the baritone’s 27-inch scale is the distinct low-register option. The other three offer different body shapes on a shared 25.5-inch platform. Epiphone says the new series is available through its website, authorized dealers and Gibson Garage locations.
