Pedal Pawn has introduced the Say Wah, a UK-assembled wah pedal aimed at players chasing the vocal sweep associated with Jimi Hendrix and Stevie Ray Vaughan. Its official store lists the pedal at £327, with a custom hand-wound inductor, proprietary circuitry and true-bypass switching.

There is an important distinction behind the build. Pedal Pawn is not claiming a newly manufactured enclosure: each unit starts with a donor wah shell, stripped to bare metal, refinished and rebuilt with the company’s circuitry and hardware.

A new circuit, not just a cosmetic makeover

According to Pedal Pawn, the Say Wah combines its own inductor and PCB with a CTS 100K custom-taper McCon-O-Pot II, developed by the maker behind the McCon-O-Wah. The company lists a two-million-cycle rating for that potentiometer. That is a component specification, not a guarantee that a complete pedal will remain maintenance-free indefinitely.

The manufacturer says it voiced the circuit for use with fuzz and overdrive, and that Chris personally tests and sets up every completed pedal. Those are design and quality-control claims from the builder; we have not independently tested the pedal’s sweep, noise floor or behaviour with different fuzz circuits.

What the specification confirms

The Say Wah runs from 9V DC or a battery, uses true bypass and is hand-assembled in the UK.

A November 1 Guitar World interview with founder Chris King Robinson provides the launch context: he describes the project as a long development process inspired by vintage wahs. That heritage should not be confused with artist endorsement—Hendrix and Vaughan are tonal reference points, not users of this newly introduced pedal.

The official UK-facing price was £327 when checked on November 1, 2026. Pedal Pawn states that UK VAT is included and that buyers elsewhere may face local taxes or import duties. Check the manufacturer’s current listing for purchasing details and availability.
